Lessons marked as OPEN LESSON are available to students in the Darby Downs Riding Program to use if they  

need to reschedule a lesson, or if they would like to add an extra lesson.

Please Note the Lesson Policy:

ALL STUDENTS on the regular Darby Downs lesson calendar are REQUIRED to take a weekly lesson. 

There is a $10 cancellation fee for those canceling with LESS THAN 24 Hours Notice.

If you need to cancel a lesson, it must be made up within one month of the date missed or you will forfeit the lesson and are still responsible for payment of the lesson. 

If you are not able to find time in your schedule that matches openings in the Darby Downs calendar, you have the option of scheduling a practice ride, semi-private lesson with another rider (at the regular lesson rate), or a training ride (if you own a horse) in place of the missed lesson.   

If you schedule a lesson with Dana, Nicky or another instructor, you are still required to have or reschedule your regular lesson. 

While many stables in the area prefer not to maintain professional policies and standards, Darby Downs has maintained its reputation because of our professional standards and values.  Our policies allow our students and perspective students to benefit from the services we have available.

   Darby Downs lessons are based on students seriously interested in improving & advancing their riding skills.

We typically have a waiting list of students, so if riding is not your priority please give someone else a chance.
