Lessons are conducted by Stable Manager/Owner, Karen Pikovsky.  In 2007, Karen was named by the American Riding Instructors Association as one of the Top 50 Riding Instructors in America, and in 2006 she was awarded the honor of Certified Horsemanship Association (CHA) Instructor of the Year.  Her focused disciplines are Dressage, Hunter/Jumper & Eventing.

With 24+ years riding & 13 years experience as a Certified Instructor, Karen believes in giving back to her students by furthering her education.  Karen prioritizes her continuing education.  She already holds her Certificate from the United States Dressage Federation "USDF University Program" and will receive her Diploma in the Fall of 2009.  Karen also continues her education by working with top instructors/trainers in the world including:

 


  

              

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Additionally, Karen has audited the 2005-2006 sessions of the USDF "L" Judges program with Lois Yukins & Jayne Ayers to gain current knowledge on scoring and comments of USDF Dressage Judges in order to relay this important information to her students.

Karen is an active member of the Certified Horsemanship Association (CHA); United States Equestrian Federation (USEF); United States Dressage Federation (USDF); and the Western Pennsylvania Dressage Association (WPDA).  You can find Karen showing horses of her own, as well as those of her clients.  In 2007 she was awarded Year End High Point Champion for the Horse On Course Equestrian Center 2007 Dressage Series - First Level Test 1 - Open Division.  You will see that both she & her students are always in the ribbons.  But, Karen is quick to point out to her students that their education, confidence and the well-being of their horses are more important than winning any ribbon.
